"Better than I expected"

Verified Watch Owner Comments: Everything you read about this watch holds true. The face of this dial is really something else. It's always tricky to get the right shading colors in photos but the leather strap was a little darker than what I was expecting and that was a pleasant surprise.
Very happy with the purchase. Transaction was efficient and hassle free.
"Sinn Arktis II"

Verified Watch Owner Comments: I’ve a small wrist (16.5mm or 6.5 inches), so I was a bit concerned that the Arktis II’s 43mm case diameter would wear too large. In fact, the size wears comfortably and the design of the case lugs helps accommodate the watch to the wrist. The case is thick, owing to the architecture of the Valjoux 7750 movement, but the case and bezel present the sturdy engineering expected of a dive watch.
The 43mm size also lends to the dial’s overall legibility. In addition to the technological aspects of the case engineered by Sinn (the inert gas filling and interchangeable dehumidifying capsule), one certainly appreciates Sinn’s watchmaking expertise. They have the 7750 movement regulated to very close standards, approaching chronometer status. Sinn has designed a beautiful watch into the bargain. Its polished case and chamfered lugs as well as magnificent blue dial present a classical watch that belies its dive-watch engineering. The captured bezel function flawlessly and the illuminated hands and indices are robust.
One also appreciates the advanced sealing technology that allows the chronograph pushers to be deployed under water. My only quibble with the design of the watch has to do with these pushers. In reference to the Arktis I, one supposes, the chronograph pushers retain the knurled collars of screw-down pushers. This adds an odd faux element to the design and would have been improved by a new design that paid more attention to the pushers’ comfort on the finger.
In any event, this is a splendid watch that will certainly be treasured.

Verified Watch Owner Comments: A great watch - the 43mm size is right in the sweet spot if you like larger modern watches that aren't obscenely large on your wrist. The quality and heft of this watch is solid. Everything on the watch feels solid (crown, bezel, pushers) as it should at this price point. The exhibition case back is a nice feature as well, showing you on the rotor that this isn't your standard movement.
The dial is very interesting with the sunburst effect, but it's also interesting to note that it has a slightly different color depending on the light you're in. In the sunlight and bluer lights (5000K), it looks more blue and matches the strap wonderfully, whereas when you're in yellower light (2800K) it actually takes on a very slight purple hue. A little strange with the purple hue, but nonetheless that's the neat effect you get with the cool sunburst.
