Hanhart Firefighter Watch
We are pleased to present a new Thermosphere Limited Edition from Hanhart, a special watch developed in collaboration with the Baden-Württemberg Firefighters’ Association.
112 is the European emergency number for German fire and rescue services, and it is highlighted in red against the blue dial. The official emblem of the Baden-Württemberg Firefighters Association, the Red Flame and Red Lion, is also present.
The concept behind the Thermosphere is practical as well as personal. Simon Hall, CEO of Hanhart, has himself been actively involved in the fire service for many years.
This watch emphasizes key times for breathing apparatus operations on the rotating ceramic bezel, a situation in which technical reliability is absolutely essential for firefighters.
Each piece has its limited edition number and the name "FLORIAN," the patron saint of firefighters, engraved into the case back. The case back also features an embossing of the Red Flame and Red Lion emblem in the center.
This watch features a unidirectional 60 click bezel with ceramic blue insert and a very important design. For firefighters operating with a breathing apparatus, time dictates the scope of action available to the crew as well as important safety measures.
The solid triangle on the bezel is designed to be aligned with the position of the minute hand as soon as oxygen begins flowing from a breathing apparatus. The maximum operational duration is then easily visible and apparent using the yellow marker opposite the solid triangle: 30 minutes when using a single air cylinder and 60 minutes when using two cylinders.
The different symbols on the other triangular markers indicate intermediate time checkpoints.
The Thermosphere features a 42 mm case and a three hand configuration, as well as a subtle date display at 3.
This watch is also water resistant to 300 meters, ensuring that the watch will remain functional even when soaked by water during firefighting operations.
Hook Strap™
This watch ships on a blue textile Hook Strap™, designed and handcrafted by Nick Mankey in California. The strap can be easily adjusted for a custom fit and features a stretch design to remain comfortable throughout the day.
