An Historic Hanhart Receives an Update

Hanhart is pleased to release a new model to their collection, and this watch takes design cues from the past and uses simplicity as the primary look.

First, an explanation of the model name "Silva".  Hanhart chose this name while thinking in Latin - the word means "Forest", which completely surrounds the Hanhart factory located in the Black Forest in Gutenbach, Germany.

The DNA for this new Hanhart watch is actually a watch housed in Hanhart's company museum, and was referred to as Kal 36/39.  Although that watch was manually wound, the new Hanhart Pioneer Silva has been upgraded to an automatic winding SW200-1.

Silva Historic

This watch is available in two dial colors, black and white, on your choice of a stainless steel Milanaise mesh bracelet, or a very high quality black ox strap lined with Alcantara for wearing comfort.

Simplicity and Clean Design

We love the clean design of the dial with the use of straight hands and distinctive dot markers placed between the numerals.

The lack of clutter not only makes this new watch a stunner on the wrist, but exceptionally easy to read.  Hanhart has used their historical (vintage) logo on the dial as well as the crown to link to the original design.

Important features of this watch include:
  • Stainless steel 38.5 mm case with LTL of 44 mm
  • Historical logo on dial and crown
  • Interior coated AR convex sapphire crystal
  • Water resistant to 5 ATM
  • Skeletonized Hanhart rotor with sapphire back
  • Ox leather black strap lined with Alcantara
  • No date display for clean dial design
