The dial is marked in both hour and five minute intervals. To tell the correct time, simply read the correct two digit hour and count the number of five minute markers after the hour to know minutes.
Other features include a convex sapphire crystal on the front which produces a slight magnifying effect. Early wrist watches used this type of convex crystal almost exclusively, rather than the flat crystals used on most modern watch designs. The case is in polished stainless steel with a clear display back to reveal the nicely decorated movement.
This watch features an automatic winding mechanical movement. The dial is tan, and features a single black hand and two digit hour numerals. The power reserve when fully wound is 42 hours.
