Hanhart and we have been working on the design of this new limited edition watch for over one year, and after seeing the first prototype in October, we have been anxiously awaiting the day that we could make the official release announcement.

We are pleased to introduce the new Hanhart Pioneer One NightBlue Limited Edition and your chance to select your preferred serial number.

The Hanhart Pioneer One Series is one of the most popular in the Hanhart collection, and is based on the legendary Hanhart 417 Pilot's Chronograph but in a three handed configuration.

This new limited edition elevates the standard Hanhart Pioneer One to a new level by incorporating a black PVD case, large crown, historical Hanhart logo, deep blue dial, and engraved case back.


Hanhart is known for their chronograph watches, including flyback, single button and traditional two pusher chronographs.

But with the Pioneer One Series this German watchmaker has proven that great things can happen in the Black Forest in a non-chronograph design.

These Hanhart models fill an important role in the collection - three handed watches that are instantly recognizable as Hanhart watches without the chronograph functions.


How This Watch Differs From the Standard Pioneer One

We worked closely with Hanhart to create a very special design for the new Hanhart Pioneer One NightBlue Limited Edition by incorporating these features not found in the standard production Pioneer One models:

  • Black PVD finished 42 mm case
  • Large crown engraved with historical Hanhart "h"
  • Deep NightBlue dial with historical Hanhart logo
  • Fluted black rotating bezel with red ceramic inlay
  • Special engraved back with serial number XXX/150
  • Ox leather blue suede strap with red accent stitching
  • PVD finished tang buckle
  • No date display for clean dial design



This watch also takes design elements from the very famous Hanhart Calibres 40, 41 and 42 which were originally produced for the Air Force division of the German Federal Armed Forces.

Although these earlier watches all featured chronograph complications, their designs became instantly recognizable as a Hanhart watch, and the Hanhart Pioneer One NightBlue Limited Edition carries forward this tradition in a three handed watch.

Hanhart has chosen a perfect case size of 42 mm, and the fluted bi-directional rotating bezel with red marking is associated as one of Hanhart's most recognizable design elements.
