WatchBuys understands that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting WatchBuys, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

Your Consent to This Privacy Policy

By providing WatchBuys with personal information, you signify that you agree with the terms of our Privacy Policy as posted here. If you do not agree with any term in this Policy, please do not provide any personal information.

If you choose not to provide personal information, you may not be able to do certain things, like access particular areas of our website, order products or send e-mail to us.

WatchBuys does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to information collected or submitted on the WatchBuys website. We collect information from these primary activities:

1. Newsletter

We maintain an e-mail newsletter which is provided through Constant Contact. We add names to our newsletter only at your request. To receive our newsletter, you need only to provide your e-mail address which is not shared with others.

We use our newsletter to send periodic announcements of new watch arrivals and other watch events. With each message we send we include instructions on how to unsubscribe from our newsletter.

2. Online or Telephone Purchasing

When you purchase a product online or through contacting us by phone, we collect certain information to process your order. This information includes your name, billing and shipping information, e-mail address and your choice of payment method.

We use the information collected from your order to process and ship your new watch, watch winder or watch accessories. To process your payment, we use the services of a merchant services provider.

If you choose to pay by credit card, please note that we do not store your credit card number, expiration date or security code - this information is passed directly through to our merchant services providers (PayPal for PayPal payments, and PayPal Payments Pro for credit and debit card payments) for approval and payment processing.

Since we do not store credit card information, you will be required to provide your credit card information each time you place an order with us, even if that card has been used before.

To change your name, e-mail address or other personal information you may log into your account using the My Account button on the left side of the screen, or contact us at the number listed at the bottom of this notice.

Secure transactions for the WatchBuys website are processed using a TrustWave secure certificate to ensure secure transmission of your information.

Please note that if you are purchasing an Orbita watch winder, certain winders are shipped directly from the Orbita factory in Wilmington, NC to you. When purchasing one of these winders, we supply your name and order information to Orbita so that they may build and ship your new winder, but no payment information is disclosed.

3. WatchPoint Rewards Program

By becoming a registered user on WatchBuys, or placing an order with us you are automatically enrolled in the WatchPoint Rewards program.

We do not sell, rent or distribute customer information related to this program to any third party, and we do not use the information you provide for our marketing purposes other than to advise you of any pending point expiration.

4. Concierge Requests and Watch Reservations

Throughout our site you may reserve watches that have been sold out and are not in stock. We use our Concierge Request system and/or online forms to collect information about the watch you are requesting, including your name, e-mail address and phone number. We may also ask you if you would like to receive our newsletter.

5. Registration for Events

We sometimes offer registration to attend events that we sponsor, including Road Shows. If you choose to register for an event, we collect your name, e-mail address, phone number and your preference for the sessions you would like to attend.

Other than for registration and security purposes at the event with any event organizers, the information you provide is not shared with others or used for other purposes.

6. Live Help Software

We use software to conduct online product help sessions, often referred to as "Live Help". These sessions are initiated by you to obtain product information, or for any other purpose you choose. We do ask for your name, e-mail address and question to initiate a chat.

In addition to facilitating live help sessions, this software uses cookies and/or Javascript to show us which pages are visited on our web site. We use this information in the aggregate to better design our web site and to make it more functional. Disclosure of Personal Information

Cookies

The WatchBuys website uses a technology called "cookies" which stores small pieces of information on your computer; this technology can be used to identify repeat visitors and/or offer them personalized services.

Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user, and WatchBuys never sends unsolicited bulk email ('UBE' or 'spam').

Statistics

Site measurement statistics may be used to personalize your web site experience, as well as to evaluate – anonymously and in the aggregate – statistics about usage of the web site.
