New BaselWorld 2017 Release - Now in Stock
This year at BaselWorld Junghans surprised us with a brand new series in their collection - the new Form Collection.
The Form Collection consists of two broad styles - Form A for automatic winding time and date mechanical watches, and Form C for quartz powered chronograph watches.
And what's really special about watches in the Form Collection are the dials - they are actually concave and rise up from the center post to the case edge in a very subtle way.
The Form A Date Silver Dial with Arabic Numerals utilizes a classic Bauhaus design to strike an impressive balance between form and function. Numerals are found at each hour mark except for at 3, where a quick-set date window can be found.
Silver plated hour and minute hands work well with the white dial. A central seconds hand, also in silver sweeps around the dial. To provide some color, copper numerals can be found at five second intervals on the outer edge of the dial.
The three dimensional dial makes the Form A exceptionally readable at a glance and from nearly any angle. A prominent date window is located at 3.
And the Junghans calibre J800.2 (based on the ETA 2824-2) is a reliable workhorse which powers this timepiece.
Important features of this watch include:
- Quick set date
- Sapphire crystal front with tinted mineral crystal back
- Concave dial with unique detailing on the edges
- Galvanic matte silver plated dial
- Automatic winding J800.2 with power reserve of 38 hours
- Water resistant to 5 bar
This is a great looking watch with a design all its own, and is one of the many watches that makes Junghans such a special watch company in Germany's Black Forest.
