Jochen Benzinger is considered one of the world's best watch artisans for engraving, guilloche dials and skeletonized movements. Jochen lives and works near the Black Forest region of Germany, and that is where he creates masterpieces.
All his work done is completely by hand using machines that are, in many cases, over 100 years old. You can learn more about how Jochen Benzinger creates watches by clicking here

With this watch Jochen proves again why his old-world craftsmanship skills are among the elite in his profession.
The concept for a subskription watch dates to the late 18th century, when the notion of placing a down payment for a watch that was to be built and delivered later was a novel idea. The defining feature of Jochen’s subskription watches is the positioning of the hour and minute hands on an off-center post, typically toward the top of the dial. Jochen designs and completes his creations in-house along with a group of German master watchmakers.
This watch features a multi-layered dial in sterling silver that is hand-guilloched and hand-skeletonized. The lower dial is a guilloched ray pattern with a blue Galvano lacquer, and the top dial is a ribbon guilloche with a Breguet frost finish. The Breguet-style hands are rose gold plated.
The guilloched and skeletonized movement is decorated in navy, purple, and white Rhodium. The movement also features flame-blued screws.
Though most of Benzinger’s creations are designed for a 42mm case, for this watch he was able to reconfigure his original design to fit in a more compact 38 mm case. At 38 mm instead of 42 mm, this watch is more practical for those who prefer less bulk on the wrist. The case is made in Pforzheim with high grade steel, has a combination of polished and brushed finishes, and features a sapphire crystal on the front and back.
This watch features calf leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
