"Great watch, great service"
Verified Owner Comments: Had my eye on this watch for some time. In real life it wears a tiny bit smaller than I envisioned, but I’m a fan nonetheless.
Immediately changed out of the leather strap to a curved end rubber strap (bought an aftermarket model for Rolex GMT 2 which fit fine btw) but then decided to pop for the Sinn rubber strap with PVD butterfly clasp. Pricey for sure, but all together this watch is now so, so dope.
Watchbuys dudes were communicative and shipped perfectly, and faster than expected. The watch was special ordered and supposed to be here this week, but I’ve already had it well over a week, so that’s awesome.
"Sinn For The Winn"
Verified Owner Comments: I love black watches and GMT complications, so this was a natural fit for me. The watch has quickly become one of my favorites in the collection and gets more wrist time than any other watch I own. It has excellent legibility in the day and night. The date function is there, but it doesn't upset the symmetry of the dial.
It's a tough watch for traveling, and it's not something that will stand out and draw unwanted attention like a Rolex. Perhaps the only drawback is its rugged looks doesn't allow for me to wear it to more formal occasions. So that might be something to consider if you're looking for a literal do it all watch.
My Sinn has been running a pretty consistent +5 seconds a day, so I'm quite happy with the accuracy too.
Verified Owner Comments: This is one great watch, I absolutely love it. I have a 7 inch wrist and this watch fits perfectly. I've really gotten into Sinn and plan on purchasing more.
Can't say enough about WatchBuys, free 2 day shipping!
"Better Than I Thought"
Verified Owner Comments: I have several very good outdoor watches. When I became an Air Force pilot during Vietnam, pilots were always seeking the newest and greatest watch. I had a Rolex GMT Master which has become too valuable to use every day. I stumbled on the 856 UTC. I really like this watch.
First, it is not overstated with bells and whistles. Next, it is easy for me to read the hands. Also, it is very accurate and bullet proof. I also recommend the Zulu strap to give it that final touch. Like my old Rolex, I never take it off for normal wear. My only issue and I anticipated it is that the 24 hour hand is hard to read with my geezer eyes however, it is no issue when I use my glasses.
Great, understated watch
"Sinn 856 UTC"
Verified Owner Comments: I have small wrists just over 6 and this watch fits great. Very light weight and comfortable esp on a nato strap. It's running 7-9 sec fast a day right now which isn't unusual. It's a very practical for aviation. I just wish the UTC and second hand had lume.
Verified Owner Comments: I love my 856 so far. The only small complaint I have is the second hand is not lumed.
"Sin 856 UTC - A Review"
Verified Owner Comments: Having never had any desire to own an expensive watch, but having always been a connoisseur of fine automobiles (inevitably therefore, German), the passion finally overlapped with my desire to have a precision, mechanical watch (I'd generally been in the $150-300 range).
After a metric ton of research, I landed on the Sinn 856 as being the best watch for anything less than $5,000. So far, I couldn't be more pleased.
Every week it's gradually getting more accurate - I reset it according to the world atomic clock every Monday. At first, it was 3.2 seconds fast per day. After a month, it's down to 2.5 seconds fast per day. I'm excited to see where it is in 3 months. (People say we shouldn't expect accuracy, that accuracy isn't the point- but it most certainly is. Without the expectation for accuracy, we are hedonites).
The styling is better in real life than in pictures, the leather band is comfortable, the finish and glass seem extremely durable. I love the watch. I hope I never lose it or break it, but if I do, I'll buy another.
