As for the watch, well it is fantastic. None of the images online do it justice. The piece really comes to life when you see it in person. The polished surfaces, the bezel, the inner ring absolutely pop in the light. The black matte dial with white Arabic numbers balance the watch, allowing to be dressed up or down. I looked at this watch for weeks and weeks online talking myself in and back out of the purchase. Any of the tiny little details that I was concerned about disappeared the instant I saw the watch in person.

If you are on the fence, BUY IT. You will not be disappointed.

Verified Owner Comments: Purchased the Sinn 104 St Sa on leather strap a few months ago. This was my first purchase from Watchbuys - great experience. I ordered online. Talked to a human shortly thereafter who was responsive and knowledgeable. I'll definitely do it again.

In terms of the watch itself, I love it, and am trying to figure out what took me so long to pull the trigger. Matte dial is highly legible in all light conditions (for some slightly aging eyes). Lume good, not great, but lasts through the night for me. Bi-directional countdown bezel much more practical for me as someone that doesn't dive, but likes to time stuff on the grill.

Out of the box, movement gaining about 18-20 seconds over the course of the week. Quite happy with that. I hack it about seven seconds slow Sunday night, and by next Sunday its about 10-12 seconds fast. Case size of 41mm nice balance function and form for me. Fits under shirt collars. Apropos of another commenter's thoughts, the strap was a little too big for my wimpy wrist. Bought the fine-link bracelet shortly after and am very happy with it.

Bracelet has screws - Watchbuys provides the tools with the purchase so incredibly easy to size. With the combination of just the full links I was able to find perfect size. They have shorter links included, so should fit for everyone, but obviously everyone's wrist is different.

Overall, very happy with purchase and with Watchbuys experience.

I have smaller wrists(6.5in) and was reluctant at first since its a 41mm(normally wear 38mm) but fits great.

The customer service from WatchBuys was over and above what I was expecting. Within a hour of purchasing I received a call from an employee verifying all information and answered all questions I had regarding the product. Ordered on a Friday and received that Monday! Verified Owner Comments: The 104 had been on my list for a very very long time, so I was very excited to acquire one once I was able to. I can wholeheartedly say that I was not disappointed at all! The 104 A is absolutely fantastic and perfect in every way! The flieger style dial - hands, numerals, markings, countdown timer bezel - is just beautiful! It also facilitates very quick time telling with a fleeting glance. The contrast is superb which adds to legibility - the syringe hour and minute hands and long arrow seconds hand all hit the markers perfectly.

The day-date snap at midnight will probably never get old. I love the see-through case back as well - its always fun to see the little workhorse heart trucking away. The dimensions are also wonderful, without being unnecessarily large and lumpy on the wrist. Only drawback is the size of the leather strap that it comes on. Even on the nearest hole, its still sized for a relatively large wrist, so I had to switch it out immediately for something more normally sized. Just a small rather inconvenience than a drawback really.

All in all, excellent value for money as you get top notch industry approved German quality engineering, a bullet proof low maintenance movement, and superb tool watch aesthetics and functionality in one epic package. Highly recommended to anyone thinking about a Sinn 104.

Verified Owner Comments: There is nothing I can see wrong with this watch, It's easier to read than my Explorer and it's beautiful. Onething to note. Crown will not move to the third stage to set the time 9pm and 3am. It seems to lock to protect the day date complication while the day turns over. At least what a watchmaker told me. This is not a defect but an added protection.

Verified Owner Comments: Much have been written and said about Sinn's credential of being purveyor of sturdy and precise instrument watches. While the 104 is certainly sturdy and percies, one would be remiss to ignore the indulgence the 104 affords for opulence.

While the matted dial under that anti-glare coated sapphire is certainly designed for usability, it also makes the polished steel bezel pop and shine under even the faintest light. On the back, the humble Sellita 220-1 is ably decorated for the sapphire case back.

In all, the 104 wants to make sure the steadfast work to still be celebrated and glamorized. One thing that somewhat marred my experience with the 104 is the spring bar it came on. The springs are very hard indeed and feels somewhat rusty, combined with frankly excessively sharp tips caused quite a lot of scratches the first time I tried to change out the strap. My 104 became a much better watch after I switched out the stock spring bars to the complementary ones that came with the aftermarket strap.

The Sinn 104 is breathtaking. I wanted a great non-flashy everyday watch and got so much more! The first thing I noticed was the amazing high definition clarity of the crystal. The hands and markings are so razor sharp! LOVe the Sinn.

I've found the Sinn 104a st sa easily fits in so well, in so many instances, it's merit is (perhaps) deceptive. It's the kind of watch that, for the $, represents a very good value too IMHO! Easy to make friends with, at the end of the day! All good!

The Sinn surpasses my every expectation and I really don't even miss my PO. The numerals make the dial impressively legible. While the lume is not quite as bright as my Helson Sharkdiver or Seiko Turtle, it gets the job done and remains legible all through the night, which was a pleasant surprise. I bought the 104 on leather with the intention of putting it on a NATO, where it looks like absolute perfection.

I could get it for about $200 cheaper before paying import taxes on grey market, but for such an elegant watch, I thought it’s worth the extra pay, knowing WatchBuys is the authorized Sinn distributor in US.

Verified Owner Comments: Fantastic watch. I purchased the 104 A as a knockaround, EDC watch that I won’t have to worry about exposing to a bit of work. It fits the bill perfectly. It wears very comfortably, looks fantastic, is easy to read at a glance, has great lume, keeps excellent time and has twice the water resistance of my Rolex OP.

It just does everything well. The leather strap is beautiful and of excellent quality. I currently have this watch on a Marine Nationale strap, as I do a bit of splashing around in my daily life and wish to preserve the terrific leather strap for now. The bidirectional countdown bezel has already proven its usefulness - for cooking, which sadly is about as close as I will ever come to piloting an aircraft. I look forward to enjoying this watch for many years.

The watch feels well-built, and is now my everyday casual go-to option. The case size is just right for my 7” wrist, although I am on the tightest strap hole, so those with smaller wrists may need to purchase a shorter after-market strap. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the lume, while bright, does not last very long. Other than that, this is a perfect pilot-style casual watch.

Verified Owner Comments: This is my first mechanical watch. I've stared at this thing for hours over the last 3-days and I cannot find a single physical flaw on it and the alignment is perfect everywhere. The movement is clean. With the almost needle point precision of the hands, I was worried about the sync of the minute-hand pointing while the seconds-hand was at 00, it's spot on. So is the hour-hand.

Over the last 3-days I've recorded it at ~ +4-sec per 24-hours. This seems to be well within COSC standards (-4 to +6). As a prior quartz user, this will take some getting used to. (side note: I think it's kind of neat I have to consider this specific watches timing offset and account for it. This may sound like a bad thing, but there is an odd getting to know your watch quality to it.) The face is very matte black and very simplistic. It doesn't do anything but tell me the time, day, and date. If I had to complain about something it would be the size of the day/date display. As it sits at the :15 position of the dial, it's completely masked at :15... not a big deal. Lastly, the strap/band. I do have a gripe here. I got the leather band and I think they should add a few more holes. My wrist isn't that small (~6 3/4) but I had to add another hole on the band to snug it up to my liking.

All in all... very happy. This seems like a robust watch that I can wear every day that will last for 50-years.

I compared it to most of the other Sinns at a recent WatchBuys road show and it came out on top for me as the most versatile. The proportions of the watch are spot on (weight, thickness, and diameter), and it is an incredible combination of classy and rugged. I’ve worn it to a black-tie wedding in addition to wearing it with shorts and t-shirts.

It’s my everyday watch and I rarely take it off. I wear it mostly on a green or black NATO strap and it has a sophisticated field watch military aesthetic with the Arabic numerals. There is a very clean and crisp contrast the white hands and numerals and the deep black dial that is very visually appealing. It is extremely accurate – I am getting less than +2 seconds per day. The lume is also excellent.

I highly recommend picking one up. The road show and overall purchase experience were great too.
