"Best dive watch ever"

Verified Watch Owner Comments: I have a couple of chronos & such, but I'm a divemaster and outdoorsman, not a collector. I started in the early 1970's with a Seiko Tuna, followed by a Rolex Sub 16800 and then an Titanium Omega Planet Ocean, backing up a Shearwater Teric - all daily drivers AND true classics that I still own, maintained in superb condition. Purely as a tool, this UX beats them all by a wide margin.
To my knowledge, aside from the Sinn UX the only watches that can survive the pressure in the Mariana Trench are both awesomely cool AND gargantuan (e.g. Deepsea, Ultra Deep) and none of which can approach +-6 sec/yr accuracy. This UX watch is unparalleled in my experience. The Steel has a unique non-stainless gray color that is evocative of serious tools and hardware, and yes, submarines. The black is BLACK, the red is understated but eye-catching, the lume is incandescent, and the whole thing exudes quality beyond it's price as a tool watch. I love the little second-hand bounce, and I expect tegimentation to pay off over time. The only changes I'd make would be to delete the date and fully lume the seconds hand (as in GSG9). I intended to switch to a blue strap but the bracelet is honestly just too damn cool. My niece said it's bussin, which I think is good. So, yeah, it's only quartz. Get over yourself. :-)
Jokes aside my friends, I have several advanced and terminal degrees in sciences and engineering and I love complications as much as anyone, but I’ve learned to let form follow function. Foregoing a cool caliber to gain 7-10 years batteries and NO winding is a very fair trade. Leave the display backs to your desk divers, and try (and fail) to beat the hell out of this watch through an active life. In my considered opinion it's the best you can buy.
"Favorite watch in my collection!"

The watch is above and beyond my expectations. Very glad I purchased this particular model, very unique and built like a tank... or submarine :)
