The concept for a subskription watch dates to the late 18th century, when the notion of placing a down payment for a watch that was to be built and delivered later was a novel idea. The defining feature of Jochen’s subskription watches is the positioning of the hour and minute hands on an off-center post, typically toward the top of the dial. Jochen designs and completes his creations in-house along with a group of German master watchmakers.
This watch features a multi-layered dial in sterling silver that is hand-guilloched and hand-skeletonized. The lower dial is a guilloched barley pattern, and the top dial is a ribbon guilloche with a Breguet frost finish. The Breguet-style hands are steel with flame-blued tips.
The guilloched and skeletonized movement is decorated in navy, purple, and white Rhodium. The movement also features flame-blued screws.
The case, made in Pforzheim, is 18K rose gold and has a combination of polished and brushed finishes. It features a sapphire crystal on the front and back.
This watch features calf leather strap with an 18K rose gold buckle.
