Jochen Benzinger is considered one of the world's best watch artisans for engraving, guilloche dials and skeletonized movements. Jochen lives and works near the Black Forest region of Germany, and that is where he creates masterpieces. All his work done is completely by hand using machines that are, in many cases, over 100 years old. You can learn more about how Jochen Benzinger creates watches by clicking here. You'll also see the very machines and workshop where he works.
With this watch Jochen proves again why his old-world craftsmanship skills are among the elite in his profession.
In contrast to his Subskription and Regulator models, the timepieces in Jochen’s "Classic” series offer a more traditional layout with the hour and minute hands typically mounted together on a central post. However, these watches are far from simple. They feature hand-guilloched and hand-skeletonized features that do not just catch the eye, they tend to draw a crowd. Jochen designs and completes all his creations in-house along with a group of German master watchmakers.
This watch features a multi-layered dial in sterling silver that is hand-guilloched and hand-skeletonized. The lower dial is made of blue glass, and the top dial is finished in black PVD. The steel hands are in a modern and unique style.
The guilloched groundplate is finished in black PVD, which is visible through the skeletonized dial and transparent case back. The transparent case back also reveals the guilloched and skeletonized movement that is decorated in white rhodium, purple, and navy. Additionally, the movement features flame-blued screws and swan neck regulation.
The case is made in Pforzheim with high grade steel, has a combination of polished and brushed finishes, and features a sapphire crystal on the front and back.
This watch ships with a calf leather strap and a stainless steel buckle.
