The Saab 105 Aircraft and the Austrian Air Force
The new S Series watches from Hanhart result from their well established partnership with the Austrian Air Force.
The dial design is inspired by the cockpit clocks of the Saab 105 aircraft, which entered service with the Austrian Air Force 50 years ago.
The Saab 105 is a jet trainer built for use in both military and civilian operations. The Austrian Air Force utilizes the Saab 105 OE, while the Swedish Air Force utilizes a variant they call the SK 60.
Each model in the S Series is limited to 105 pieces.
SK 60 GMT Limited Edition
Legibility, reliability and durability are essential for cockpit instrumentation. The Hanhart SK 60 GMT was inspired by the design of the cockpit clocks in the Swedish Saab SK 60 aircraft. The yellow accents on the second hand, GMT hand and date indicator are extremely visible on a dial designed for easy readability.
The Hanhart SK 60 GMT features a dual time zone complication on a 24 hour scale. The yellow arrow-tipped GMT hand and the interior 24 hour bezel serve as a simple but effective second time zone readout.
In addition, the geographic coordinates of the Hanhart factory in Gutenbach, Germany are printed above the 6, while the screw-in case back features a special Saab 105 engraving.
