This watch features an Elaboré grade Unitas 6497-1 manually wound movement with extensive decoration.

Blued screws, Côtes de Genève engraving on the plates, and polished wheels create a watch that's just as interesting to view from the back as the front.


What is Bauhaus?

"Bauhaus" is a German term originating from the Staatliches Bauhaus, a German art school for aspiring architects founded by Walter Gropius in the early 20th century. The architectural philosophy of the school unified mass production and artistic creativity, which led to the design of straightforward structures that embraced functionality rather than ostentation.

Bauhaus-style watches deliver a minimalistic design that emphasizes simplicity and legibility. Bauhaus dials often feature slim indices, simple fonts, and clean patterns. The cases are constructed with flat, narrow bezels to accentuate the elements of the dial.


Dekla is a German watch manufacture based in Stuttgart.  They specialize in the the building of watch cases, certain movement parts, watch dials, and the production of hands - all in-house.  Their engineering capabilities and hands-on approach allow them to produce watches with a remarkable attention to detail. 


The Movement

The Dekla Bauhaus Unitas features a traditional manually wound movement visible through the sapphire case back.  This watch is powered by the famed Unitas 6497-1, a pocket watch calibre configured for a wristwatch which utilizes a small seconds subdial at 9.  The robust Unitas 6497-1 is a manually winding workhorse featured in a wide variety of mechanical watches due to its simple layout and reliability.
