Welcome to the Sinn T2 EZM 15 on titanium bracelet, featuring a 41 mm case size produced by Sinn in-house in Glashutte, Germany. This case is designated with a "T" rather than a "U" as Sinn has chosen grade five titanium as the case metal.
Grade 5 titanium is among the most expensive materials to use in the production of watch cases (with the exception of precious metals) and can exceed more than three times the cost of standard 316L stainless steel.
It is significantly stronger than commercially pure titanium while having the same stiffness and thermal properties. Among its many advantages, grade 5 titanium is heat treatable while providing an excellent combination of strength and corrosion resistance, an important factor for watch cases.
In addition to being harder than stainless steel, titanium is also lighter and for many improves the comfort of the watch and will not cause problems for those with skin allergies.
The Sinn Captive Safety Bezel
This watch features a special bezel locking system designed by Sinn. First, the bezel is Tegimented using Sinn's hardening process to protect the watch from dings and scratches.
Next, the bezel is attached to the watch case in a way that it cannot be popped off. Most watch bezels are pressure fitted and can detach from the case if hit.
Finally, this bezel uses the same locking system first introduced on the Sinn U1000 - a push and lock system. To prevent the bezel from accidentally turning, it is by default locked into position.
To adjust, simply push down on opposite sides of the bezel and turn. Once the correct position is set, release pressure and the bezel will again lock.
Mission Timer - EZM 15
As a Mission Timer and part of the Sinn's EZM line of watches, the new Sinn T2 has been designed from the ground up to withstand the rigors of professional diving use. As such, the watch has been fully tested by all European diving standards and certified by Germanischer Lloyd Hamburg to a 2,000 meter diving depth.
To ensure that this high level of legibility is also possible in the dark or in adverse viewing conditions, the Sinn T2 also features color-differentiated luminous paint for the minute hand and luminous triangle at 12
Dry Hold Technology
This watch fully incorporates Sinn's Dry Hold Technology, which not only prevents the watch crystal from fogging due to temperature and/or humidity changes, but also prolongs the life of the lubrication oils by maintaining a humidity free case environment.
This dehumidifying technology uses a copper-sulfate desiccant capsule and inert gas to keep oxygen and moisture from entering the case in order to prevent the premature degradation of the lubricants and oils. These oils and lubricants are special as well, as Sinn has designed them to provide reliable operation in extreme temperature environments, from – 45 °C to + 80 °C.
The T2 EZM 15 features a matte black dial with date at 3, Super Luminova on the hands and markers, and a striking red seconds hand. Other features include a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, and a titanium bracelet with locking clasp.
