Sinn 956 Klassik on Strap

Product Details

This watch will evoke images of a sports car instrument panel, and together with the tan dial and red and green coloring is unique among the Sinn collection.

What also makes the 956 series unusual is the addition of power reserve indication, a complication rarely found on chronograph watches. The 956 series was designed for use in European automobile racing, and features a subtle tachymetric scale.

Automatic winding mechanical chronograph movement with power reserve of 42 hours. Functions include hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds, date, power reserve indicator and complete chronograph functions.

Case is in polished steel with sapphire crystals on front and back. Watch is water resistant to 100 meters. Dial is a handsome tan with Arabic numerals. Black leather strap.

Comments about this watch: Very solid watch. Well built, good heft, well laid out markings - great attention to detail. The cream dial is a joy to look at and the polished surfaces brilliantly finished. Feels far more "expensive" than it is... similar in feel to my JLC Master Compressor. Only downside (for me) is no deployant with the watch, but it can be purchased separately. However, the strap matches the cream dial perfectly. I do recommend (at the risk of having others with the same watch as me!).

Comments about this watch: A rare chronograph with full Arabic numbers, dual scale tachymeter, power reserve indicator, polished case, beautifully decorated movement, cream-colored easy to read dial, embossed leather strap, very slightly domed sapphire crystal with AR coating (all very effective minimizing glare), chronometer-like timing accuracy and precision.

This watch would be reasonably priced at twice what Sinn/WatchBuys are asking.

A unique watch.
