New BaselWorld 2017 Release
This is a brand new release from Sinn, first shown at the BaselWorld Fair in March, 2017.
Please take a minute to read more about the watch, and if you'd like to be among the first to own this new watch you may reserve a piece at the bottom of this page.
Over the years, Sinn has produced a number of tide watches, and the new Sinn 240 St GZ on strap is designed to do just that - indicate high and low tides. This information is particularly important to skilled sailors and water sports enthusiasts.
The key to measuring tides and water levels is the rotating blue bezel just under the sapphire crystal. The rotating tide bezel can be used to read the relative water level of a location in terms of current tide, i.e. the time until the next high tide.
All you need to know is the time of the last high tide and correlate this with the triangular mark HW 1 on the rotating bezel. This information may be found from a tide table or tide calendar.
The hour hand is then used to read the current water level on the rotating tide bezel.
You can also read the expected relative water levels for any given time until the time of the next high tide, which is then shown at the position HW 2.
Features of the new Sinn 240 St GZ on bracelet include:
- Bead blasted stainless steel case
- Day indication in English and German
- Sapphire crystal with dual AR coating
- Matte blue dial
- Water resistant to 100 meters
- Luminous hands, indices and timing triangle
- Sinn crown with D3 locking system
- Black calf leather integrated strap
- Interior tide bezel
