Even years after its initial introduction, the Muhle Glashutte Search and Rescue (SAR) remains an industry standard, and a watch that is difficult to keep in stock. It has become so popular with certain watch collectors, diving enthusiasts and others who enjoy fine mechanical watches that we've spoken to a number of clients who have purchased more than one piece!
Stainless steel case with sealed base which has been pressure tested at 1,000 meters. Screw down crown with matte black dial. Sapphire crystal on front which is 4 mm thick and features an internally ground magnifier for the date.
Dial features 4 large luminous markings for easy reading in night conditions. These markings will stay bright for approximately 6 hours. The hands are also treated to stay bright for the same time period.
Automatic winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. Movement features Incabloc shock absorbtion and a specially designed hairspring. Strap is rubber screwed to the casing with steel deployant buckle with safety stay.
This watch has been thoroughly tested by the official German Search and Rescue team in a variety of adverse conditions.
