The Antaria Datum is a watch that feels "rich" at first sight - from the anthracite grey dial to the beautifully finished case with both polished and brushed finishes, this watch is a winner.
The anthracite grey dial is what first attracts attention to this watch. The applied silver hours and polished hands are in sharp contrast to the muted dial tones, and the result is a highly legible and very refined look. Each of the hour numerals are nickel plated and polished , while the hands feature SuperLuminova for visibility at night.
The case shows attention to detail and superb workmanship. The lugs and sides are brushed, while the bezel and back edges have been polished. As with the dial, the emphasis is on contrasts and with this watch it works. The black calf leather strap with black stitching is finished with Russian tanning and is attached to the lugs by screws, and features a deployant buckle.
The movement is visible through the transparent case back, and features in-house modifications by Muhle including their woodpecker regulation, modified Muhle rotor and decoration that is traditional for the Glashutte area of Saxony.
