In 1821, the first chronograph changed the way we measure time. Now, MeisterSinger has changed the chronograph.
MeisterSinger proudly describes this watch as the first single handed watch with a timing function. This description provides some insight into Manfred Brassler, the man behind the MeisterSinger watch brand. Manfred looks at things differently as evidenced by his watch designs including the Monograph.
The Monograph is one of those watches that immediately catches your eye. This watch is special, and breaks the mold of a traditional chronograph watch.
The large central hand measures time in 5 minute increments. As is typical with a MeisterSinger design, the hour numerals are all two digits, and are very clearly displayed. The central sweep seconds chronograph hand is backed up by two registers at 12 and 6 which count elapsed minutes and hours.
The rectangular chronograph pushers, and case which features both polished and matte surfaces contribute to the unique style of this watch.
We also like the subtle use of contrasting colors on the dial and registers. The dial is black with white numerals and indices. Sapphire crystal.
The movement is beautifully decorated and finished with generous use of Côtes de Genève and perlage. Black calf leather strap with signed MeisterSinger tang buckle.
