Brand New Release
This is an amazing new watch.
The new Subscription Exposed Skeleton Blue by Jochen Benzinger is the most recent addition to his remarkable Subscription collection.
With this piece, Jochen combines a hand skeletonized dial with a highly decorated and hand engraved movement to create a watch that is ornate, yet refined.
The sterling silver dial has been designed so that the hours and minutes are relocated to the top while the seconds are shown via the sub-second display at the bottom, which is characteristic of the Subcription collection.
The sterling silver dial features a chapter ring with Roman numerals and the entire dial has been skeletonized to expose the platinum blue plated and the meticulously hand skeletonized movement.
Other features include:
- A partially cut out dial to view the movement from the front
- Skeletonized movement, bridges and ratcheted crown wheel
- Blue platinum plated exposed gears visible from the front
- Hands which are blued by hand to match the coloring of the dial and gears
- Case made in Pforzheim, Germany to Jochen's specifications and design
- Sterling silver dial with frosted ring with painted Roman numerals
This watch is made using traditional Pforzheim techniques (click here
to learn more about these machines and the manufacturing process). The process of making just the dial can take days.
Next, he cuts out portions of the dial using a small engraver's hand saw. These cuts must be perfect - one slip can ruin the dial which has already been guillochéd.
This watch like all of Jochen's watches is one watch that you will want to turn over to show what a true artist can accomplish. This watch is manually winding with a power reserve of 44 hours, and features a large sub seconds hand at 6.
Sapphire crystals on both sides with screwed balance. The presentation box is elaborate, and naturally features engraved plates describing and naming the watch.
This watch ships with a Benzinger calf leather strap and Benzinger engraved double deployant buckle.
